Mommy's Night Out: Breaking Dawn!12:37 AM
So, I haven't gotten out much since having Milo. I love that little girl to death and the mama bear instinct hit me hard. Now that Milo is going longer in between feeds, I am feeling better leaving her for short periods. I knew that I had to go see Breaking Dawn.
If you know me, you know I L-O-V-E twilight. I mean, I'm completely obsessed....well, I was--before I had Milo. I went with my new friend Sue to see Breaking Dawn last night and JR watched Milo. I know, He's the greatest.....and I am so glad Sue came. She probably thought I was crazy, but it was nice to have someone to talk to and to travel with.
I felt so free going out... getting ready I didn't have to worry about wearing a top that was breastfeeding friendly or baby friendly. I didn't mind putting on make-up and lip gloss because I knew Milo wouldn't be rubbing her hands all over my face and messing it up. I even carried a purse!!! I usually just carry the diaper bag.
Don't get me wrong--I love being a mom...... but every mom needs a break now and then. That's one of the hard things for me to do. I am feeling better about leaving her, but I feel bad having to get JR to watch her. Luckily, we have met some great people here so far. They have already offered to keep her when I am ready.
Anyway, I felt like a model. All done up--without the carrier strapped to me or pushing the stroller. You better bet I strutted my stuff like I was walking the runway on my way to the train station. I don't even know if anyone was noticing, but I don't care. I felt great.... I felt like a woman....
I won't give anything away in the movie for those of you who haven't seen it yet or read the books. I will say that I loved it. I want to watch it again right now.... and then again tomorrow. I hate that I will probably have to wait until the DVD comes out to see it again. It was awesome. I just sat there the whole time smiling, tense with anticipation to see what happened next. That may seem really dorky, but oh well. Breaking Dawn was my favorite book of the series. The movie kept a good pace. I feel like if you didn't read the books, you might not understand every little detail. I mean, they don't really spell everything out, but I guess that's how the other ones were too.
It all looked great. Everyone's hair/make-up/wardrobe was on point. I saw this awesome jacket and wanted one...
Then I googled the brand Belstaff and it costs about $750. Umm, have I mentioned my cursed expensive taste???? Maybe I can find something that looks similar. First I am in the Market for new shoes. I have Uggs, rain boots, and 2 pairs of toms that are falling apart.... Great excuse to go shoes shopping. I've been eyeing some high tops...like these or these.
I thought the sound track was good. They used a lot of music from the past movies. I thought they finally showed a little bit of the fun humorous Edward, which they never captured in the past. Of course, they don't have the time in one movie to get all the little details and goodness that is the twilight saga. All in all, It was great and I loved it.
Maybe later I will write what I think about specific parts of the story, but I don't want to ruin if for anyone. So, later--after I watch it again. :)
It was great and I am so thankful that I got to go. The hard thing about living far from family is that We can't go out as much as we would like--so it makes the times that we do super awesome. To hold myself over, I might just read Breaking Dawn again (for like the 5th time). The next part doesn't come out until November 16th, 2012. Why would they do that?! I mean, they already filmed it. Why can't it come out in the summer? It's just wrong.
Who saw it? What did you think? And for those of you who didn't see it, Are you crazy?! Go see it:)
